Yes. Textulater Beta is currently available free through Apple TestFlight for approved testers.

Textulater works within Apple’s iMessage environment, so iMessage must be enabled on your device before using the app.

To enable iMessage:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
2. Tap Messages
3. Turn iMessage ON
4. Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted

Once activated, your device will automatically use iMessage when communicating with other Apple users.

After iMessage is enabled, Textulater can be accessed directly within the Messages app on supported iPhone and iPad devices.

Textulater is currently designed specifically for iPhone and iPad within Apple’s iMessage environment.

At this time, full Textulater messaging functionality is supported between compatible iPhone and iPad devices using the Textulater iMessage extension.

However, it may still be possible to access and use Textulater on a Mac by mirroring your iPhone through Apple’s device continuity and screen mirroring features.

Support for native Mac functionality may be explored in future updates.

Apple’s iMessage platform uses end-to-end encryption for messages sent between Apple devices, helping reduce the risk of communications being intercepted during transmission.

However, no digital communication platform can guarantee complete privacy or prevent all forms of data exposure.

Messages may still be:

• screenshotted
• forwarded
• stored across backups or connected devices
• accessed through compromised accounts or devices
• retained beyond the intended lifespan of a conversation

Traditional SMS text messages are not end-to-end encrypted and do not provide the same level of communication protection as iMessage conversations between Apple devices.

No. Textulater is currently designed to operate within Apple’s iMessage ecosystem.

At this time, Textulater’s privacy-focused messaging functionality is only supported between compatible Apple devices using iMessage, including iPhone and iPad.

Messages sent to non-Apple devices through traditional SMS or non-iMessage channels are not supported by the Textulater experience and do not provide the same communication controls or privacy-focused features.

Textulater’s message expiration functionality may depend on both device-level settings and individual user configuration.

If a message does not expire as expected, please review the following settings:

Settings → Messages → Audio Messages → Expire
